Marcus Bennett
Three report errors were found in minutes
“I’d been refused two loans before this. The model found three errors on my report in minutes, drafted the disputes, and my score went up 71 points in six weeks.”
Score changes are as reported by each customer. Your own result may be smaller, or your score may not change at all.
The situation
Marcus Bennett had already been refused two loans before using AI Credit Care.
His starting score was 612.
The challenge was finding out what was actually wrong with the report. A score by itself does not tell anyone which entries need investigating, so the work started with the report itself.
What AI Credit Care found
The model found three errors on Marcus’s report within minutes.
The specific account types behind the three errors were not recorded for this case, so they are not described here.
What is recorded is that three report errors were identified and that dispute drafts were prepared for them.

Reported score
+71 pointsHow common are credit report errors?
Errors on credit reports are not rare. A Federal Trade Commission study published in 2013 found that one in five consumers had an error on at least one of their three credit reports.
Errors take several forms: accounts that belong to someone else, payments marked late that were made on time, wrong balances or credit limits, closed accounts shown as open, and personal details such as names or addresses that are not yours.
A low score alone does not show which of these, if any, is on a report. That is why reviewing each entry, and comparing the three reports with each other, comes before any dispute. See the five steps of the process.
Questions about this case
Can errors on a report affect a loan application?
Lenders look at your credit report and score, among other factors, so inaccurate information can play a part in a decision. Correcting an error does not guarantee that a loan will be approved.
How long does a dispute take?
A credit bureau generally has 30 days to investigate a dispute, and up to 45 days in some cases. Six weeks was Marcus’s documented timeline; other cases can take more or less time.
What kind of errors were found in this case?
The case records three report errors that were found and disputed. The specific account types were not recorded, so they are not described here.

The most useful part of an AI credit workflow can be turning a large report into a small number of specific findings that a customer can actually review and act on.
These stories use the score figures, customer quotes, locations, issue descriptions, resolutions and timelines supplied for the AI Credit Care case-study material. A reported before-and-after score does not by itself establish that one individual dispute caused the entire change: credit scores can change because of multiple factors and changes in credit-report data. Where a customer described a particular impact, it is presented as a customer-reported experience, not an independently verified measurement. Where an exact timeline was not supplied, no dates are added. Results vary and are not guaranteed.
